Civil Design to Put You in the Passing Lane—What might take days with other civil software, takes just hours, or even minutes, with the powerful, intuitive Carlson Civil 2011.
This is thanks to the Carlson Civil 2011 wide selection of “power” tools – dozens of brand new commands, along with hundreds of user-driven improvements. Carlson Civil 2011 comes with 64-bit capabilities, is Windows 7 compatible, and works on AutoCAD® or Map® versions 2000, up to and including 2011, and comes with built-in IntelliCAD®6.6— a robust, .dwg-compatible CAD platform that every CAD developer can build upon.
Top new capabilities of Carlson Civil 2011 include Road Rehabilitation commands that were developed specifically to save time and money for those working on the many resurfacing projects currently under way around the country. The commands create designs for specified overlay with milling or leveling.
Other Carlson Civil 2011 enhancements include:
- command for Vehicle Path Tracking, which allows designers to trace wheel paths for vehicle dimensions along centerline;
- the ability to Edit Contours and instantly update the underlying 3D model (updates the underlying TIN surface to match the modified contours), a feature that is unique to Carlson;
- addition of graphic previews of settings within dialog of Draw Profile that includes retention of custom edits of labels;
- added setting for curve definitions, which includes either roadway or railroad curves; and
- a new Draw Plan View Sheets command to create layouts of plan views.
NEW this year, are improved CAD Standards:
- Draw Standard Item: Create common CAD entities with pre-defined properties
- Settings Explorer: Manage all program settings from single interface
- Settings Libraries: Setup tables for symbols, layers, road templates, etc.
- Data Depot: Document management for workgroups and archiving
- Project Sub-Folders: Custom controls of data folders by type
